WOMEN SUPPORTING WOMEN
Women Supporting Women
Medina Bank is a village located in the Toledo District of Belize.
The community began when two Q’eqchi families requested a portion of land be
de-reserved so that they might begin a small community.
After some five years, other families began requesting entrance into the village.
To date the village has a population of around 300 people, mostly of Q'eqchi Maya descent.
We are proud to carry a selection of items on our website that are handcrafted by the women of this village.
With each item you purchase you are supporting this beautiful Belizean village
and the women that work so hard to support their families.
